Creating and Deleting Part Associations
Parts can be associated with one another in a parent-child relationship.
Navigate to the Parts Search for Admin page.
- Click Admin to go to the Admin Home Page.
Click Parts in the Products section.
The Parts Search for Admin page appears.
Enter a value in the Part Number field and click Search.
The Part Search Results page appears.
- Continue to search for the part for which you want to create an association, or create a new part.
Click the expand icon for the part.
The Part Tree for Part Number page appears.
Click Add Subnode.
The List of Potential Sub Parts page appears.
- Search for the parts you want to associate.
Part associations can only be added as first level sub-parts.
Create associations by marking the corresponding checkboxes and then clicking Associate.
To delete an association, navigate back to the Part Tree for Part Number page, checkmark the parts associations you want to remove, and click Delete.
It is not possible to undo a parts association deletion.
Part Associations can only be added as first-level sub-parts.
Part Associations are only used when viewing a part within Configuration.
This parent-child relationship does not recommend or add parts.
It is not possible to undo a Part Association deletion.
The association will not be viewable on a quote within Commerce because this is strictly Configuration functionality.
